How to pay M6 toll

M6 toll payment can be done in the the following means.

  • M6 toll TAG electronic pre-payment method[1]
  • Contactless with fuel card, credit or debit card
  • Discounted tickets

Midlands Expressway does not accept cash. Thus, the M6 toll payment cannot be made with cash.

Contactless and card 6 toll payment 

Drivers using the M6 Toll Road will be able to pay for their journey using their contactless cards such as:

  •  Fuel cards
  • Credit and debit cards

M6 toll payment cannot be done through phone. Whether it be Android Pay, Vodafone Pay or Apple Pay, the method of payment apart from the mentioned cards is not accepted for contactless payment on M6 toll.

M6 toll tag

TAG is the electronic prepaid device of M6 Toll. The M6 toll tag gives motorists a 5% off every trip. There are TAG lanes at every plaza – with the TAG symbol overhead on select lanes.

FlexiPass

The FlexiPass[2] is the pre-paid discounted ticket option available for short, local journeys on the M6 Toll. It offers those taking local trips a pre-paid tag offering 10 journeys for £29, which can be used for journeys starting and ending at the T4 , T5 and T6 junction plazas. 

Hopper

Hopper gives access to the M6toll both ways at £3.50 per journey.

Return Pass

The return pass lets motorists save 20% on same-day return journeys. Ideal for those who don’t travel every day.
