West Virginia turnpike
The West Virginia Turnpike[1] is I-77 for its entire length as well as I-64 from Charleston to just south of Beckley. From Beckley, the road extends south to Princeton. West Virginia Turnpike offers discount programs for both personal and commercial vehicles. West Virginia toll calculator does not take discounts into account.
West Virginia toll bridges
Toll bridges in West Virginia include the Parkersburg Memorial Bridge and Newell Bridge / East Liverpool bridge on the Ohio border.
The Parkersburg Memorial Bridge[2], locally known as the toll bridge, crosses the Ohio River connecting Belpre, Ohio and Parkersburg, West Virginia. The bridge is an alternate route to access U.S. Route 50 in Ohio from central Parkersburg. It accommodates two lanes of traffic, one in either direction.
It charges a toll for passenger cars of $0.50; travelers may also purchase tickets to reduce the toll from $0.50 to $0.40 per trip when $2.00 worth of tickets are purchased. There is no pay by plate or video tolling and E-ZPass is not accepted.
The Newell Toll Bridge is a privately owned suspension bridge over the Ohio River on the Golding Street Extension between Newell, West Virginia and East Liverpool, Ohio. It carries two lanes of roadway and a pedestrian path along the west side. Tolls are charged for all road users; vehicles pay tolls at varying rates depending upon vehicle type and pedestrians are also tolled too.

How to pay toll in West Virginia
You can pay tolls on West Virginia Turnpike via E-ZPass, WV E-Zpass or a NationalPass tag transponders or with cash.
The two toll bridges: Parkersburg Memorial Bridge and Newell Bridge accepts cash for toll payment. Neither of the toll bridges accept electronic payment through E-ZPass or any other tags.
Do note that Video tolling system such as Pay-by-plate system doesn’t exist here.
How to pay missed toll in West Virginia
In West Virginia, a toll violation occurs when-
- A vehicle is recorded by the West Virginia Parkways Authority for failure to pay the specified toll using cash or an E-ZPass® account.
- If the driver receives an Unpaid Toll Slip from a collector and does not pay within the 15 days allowed.
In such a case the registered owner of the vehicle is mailed a Toll Violation Notice for the tolls and fees due.
How can a toll violation payment be made in West Virginia

Alternatively, you can make a check or money order payable to West Virginia Parkways Authority and mail it along with the completed portion of the Toll Violation Notice to West Virginia Parkways Authority[4], Customer Service Center, P.O. Box 1469, Charleston WV 25325.
What is E-ZPass WV
The E-ZPass WV, just like an E-ZPass tag, is a tag transponder that allows you to pay tolls electronically on West Virginia Turnpike. Altough E-ZPass is also valid on these toll roads but a E-ZPass WV offer lower rates.
With an E-ZPass WV installed in your vehicle, you need not need to stop to pay toll. The transponder is mounted on your vehicle’s windshield. When you travel on any toll road, thruway, tunnel or bridge, the transponder charges your E-ZPass WV account for the appropriate toll.
