<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Yes, you must pay tolls on Peru's major highways and expressways. Peru operates an extensive toll system with 16 concessionaires under Ositrán supervision, covering key intercity routes and Lima's urban expressways.</p>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Yes, tolls are mandatory on Peru's major concession highways and Lima urban expressways. Peru operates one of South America's most extensive concession road networks, with Ositran supervising 17 highway contracts plus the Anillo Vial Periferico in Lima.</p>

<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;"><strong style="font-weight: bold;">Key Reality:</strong> Peru's toll system is mandatory for using modern highways including IIRSA routes (North, Central, South), Lima Express (Vía de Evitamiento, Línea Amarilla), and all major intercity highways. Toll rates have increased significantly in 2025 due to contractual adjustments and currency fluctuations.</p>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;"><strong style="font-weight: bold;">Key Reality:</strong> Toll roads in Peru are the main high-quality intercity routes - the IIRSA corridors (North, Central, South), the Autopista del Sol on the northern coast, the Red Vial 4/5/6 corridors north and south of Lima, and Lima's urban expressways. Avoiding them means using slower, lower-quality secondary roads. Payment methods are not uniform - most corridors accept cash, card, and electronic tags, but a few (such as the Quilca-Arequipa corridor operated by Covinca) are cash-only with no electronic option at all.</p>

<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;"><strong style="font-weight: bold;">2025 Update:</strong> Ositrán warns of potential additional toll increases due to US dollar appreciation affecting eight major concessions. Five highways already implemented rate increases in January 2025, with Lima Express tolls reaching S/ 6.60.</p>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;"><strong style="font-weight: bold;">2026 Update:</strong> Toll rates across most concession highways decreased approximately 3% from January 10, 2026. The reduction is driven by a nearly 10% fall in the USD/PEN exchange rate during 2025, which feeds into the annual contractual adjustment formula using Peru's IPC, the US CPI, and the exchange rate. Lima Expresa (Via de Evitamiento and Linea Amarilla) followed with a reduction to S/ 6.30 effective February 3, 2026. Not every concession follows this same annual cycle - Red Vial 6 (Coviperu), for example, operates under a fixed rate locked from February 2025 through February 2027, independent of the January 10 formula. Rates now include 18% IGV.</p>

<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Peru operates toll roads through 16 major concessionaires, with rates varying by location, vehicle category, and number of axles. The system includes both intercity highways and Lima urban expressways.</p>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Peru's toll system is managed by 18 concessionaires. Rates are set per toll plaza, not per kilometre. Heavy vehicles pay per axle on most concession highways. All figures below are effective from January-February 2026 and include 18% IGV, except where a fixed multi-year rate applies.</p>

<li>Five major concessionaires implemented increases effective January 10, 2025</li>
<li>Rates on most concession highways reduced approximately 3% from January 10, 2026 - the first broad reduction in several years. The driver was a ~10% appreciation of the Sol against the US dollar during 2025, which more than offset inflation factors in the contractual formula.</li>
<li>IIRSA Norte: Light vehicles from S/ 8.80 to S/ 9.10 (3.4% increase)</li>
<li>Reductions range from S/ 0.20 to S/ 0.40 per plaza depending on the concession.</li>
<li>Carretera Central: From S/ 8.10 to S/ 8.30 (2.46% increase)</li>
<li>IIRSA Norte: S/ 8.70 (down from S/ 9.10) effective January 10, 2026.</li>
<li>Autopista del Sol: Various stations, 1.92%-2.94% increases</li>
<li>IIRSA Centro Tramo 2 (Carretera Central): S/ 8.00 (down from S/ 8.30) effective January 10, 2026.</li>
<li>Lima Express: Annual adjustment maintains S/ 6.60 rate</li>
<li>IIRSA Sur Tramo 3 and 4, Autopista del Sol, and Quilca-La Concordia (Covinca) also adjusted downward from January 10, 2026.</li>
<li>Lima Expresa (Via de Evitamiento + Linea Amarilla): S/ 6.30 (down from S/ 6.60) effective February 3, 2026. This is the first reduction since 2023 and returns the tariff to its 2022 level.</li>

<ul style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 5px 0; padding-left: 30px;">
<li>Obtain e-Pass or EasyWay tag for faster, convenient payment</li>
<li>Carry small Sol notes for cash plazas on intercity routes - change is given but queues build up faster at manual lanes. On the Quilca-Arequipa (Covinca) corridor specifically, cash is the ONLY option - plan accordingly.</li>
<li>Carry sufficient cash (Peruvian Soles) as backup payment method</li>
<li>e-Pass and EasyWay tags save time at Lima expressway plazas and on Red Vial 6. Open accounts through each provider's website before travel.</li>
<li>Peak hours vary by route; Lima routes busiest 7-9 AM and 5-7 PM</li>
<li>Toll rates are updated annually (typically January 10) based on contractual formulas - but not every concession follows this schedule; Red Vial 6 is locked on a separate 2-year cycle.</li>
<li>Emergency assistance available on all major toll roads</li>
<li>Emergency vehicles (ambulances, fire brigade, PNP, military, Red Cross, Instituto Nacional Penitenciario on duty) are exempt from all tolls - show credentials at the booth.</li>
<li>Mountain routes may have weather restrictions during rainy season</li>
<li>On Lima's Panamericana Sur (MML-managed section), no toll is currently charged during 2026.</li>

<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">Can I avoid Peru tolls completely?</h3>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Alternative routes exist but add significant time and safety risks. Mountain secondary roads are often unpaved, poorly maintained, and subject to weather closures. For intercity travel, toll roads are typically the only practical option.</p>

<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">What happens if I don't pay tolls?</h3>
<div style="overflow-x: auto; -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch; margin: 20px 0;">
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Toll payment is mandatory and enforced by barriers at all toll plazas. Non-payment prevents passage through the toll plaza. Emergency vehicles are exempt under Decree Law N° 22467.</p>
<table style="width: 100%; min-width: 700px; border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 16px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; color: #202122; outline: 1px solid #dee2e6;">

<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">Are electronic toll tags interoperable?</h3>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">e-Pass works on most toll roads nationwide. EasyWay is accepted at many locations. Some concessionaires have specific systems (like PEX for Lima Express), but major systems provide broad coverage.</p>

<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">Why are toll rates increasing?</h3>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Concession contracts include annual adjustment formulas based on inflation, exchange rates, and other economic factors. US dollar appreciation in 2025 triggered additional increases for USD-indexed contracts.</p>

<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">What services are included with toll payment?</h3>

<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">Can I avoid toll roads in Peru?</h3>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Technically yes, but Peru's toll highways are generally the only paved, well-maintained intercity routes. Secondary roads (carreteras afirmadas) are unpaved or in poor condition in many regions. Within Lima, surface streets are congested alternatives to the Via de Evitamiento and Linea Amarilla - expect 20-32 minutes extra travel time per trip.</p>
<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">Why did toll rates go down in 2026?</h3>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Peru's concession contracts use a formula that includes Peru's CPI, the US CPI, and the USD/PEN exchange rate. Although both inflation indices rose during 2025, the Sol appreciated by approximately 10% against the dollar, producing a net reduction. The average decrease is about 3%, or S/ 0.20-0.40 per plaza. Not every concession uses this exact formula, however - Red Vial 6 runs on a separate, fixed 2-year rate schedule unaffected by this cycle.</p>
<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">What is e-Pass and do I need it?</h3>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">e-Pass is Peru's primary RFID toll tag. It is not required on most corridors - cash and card lanes exist - but it eliminates queues at electronic lanes, especially at Lima Expresa plazas and on Red Vial 6. One important exception: the Quilca-Arequipa corridor (Covinca) has no electronic option at all - cash only, regardless of any tag you might carry. EasyWay is an alternative accepted on the same routes as e-Pass.</p>
<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">What happens if I evade a toll in Peru?</h3>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Toll evasion is classified as a very serious traffic infraction. Penalties include fines of 12% of the UIT (S/ 660 in 2026), preventive vehicle impoundment, and driver's licence retention. Using unauthorised routes to bypass a toll booth carries the same sanctions.</p>
<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">Are there tolls on the Panamericana Sur near Lima in 2026?</h3>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">No - on the approximately 58 km stretch previously operated by Rutas de Lima (now under direct MML management), toll collection is suspended in 2026. The MML implemented this as part of Plan Verano 2026 to improve summer beach traffic flow. The status beyond 2026 is subject to MML review.</p>
<h3 style="font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; margin: 15px 0 8px 0;">Do tourists pay the same toll rates as residents?</h3>
<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Yes, there is no separate tourist rate. All rates include 18% IGV. There are no discount programmes for non-residents; discounts (Tarifa Diferenciada) are only available to specific categories approved by the MTC.</p>

<p style="font-size: 16px; color: #202122; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 1.6; margin: 8px 0;">Ositran (Organismo Supervisor de la Inversion en Infraestructura de Transporte de Uso Publico) supervises all 17 highway concessions plus the Anillo Vial Periferico, as well as ports, airports, and railways. Peru Toll Roads Complete Guide

System: Mixed toll collection - electronic (e-Pass, EasyWay) and manual (cash/card) at toll plazas; some concessions are cash-only
Coverage: 17 highway concessions plus the Anillo Vial Periferico, under Ositran supervision, plus Lima metropolitan expressways
Currency: Peruvian Sol (PEN, S/), rates include 18% IGV
Technology: e-Pass RFID tags, EasyWay transponders, manual cash/card booths (cash-only on some corridors, e.g. Covinca), free-flow on some Lima routes
Operators: Ositran (regulator), Lima Expresa (VINCI Highways), IIRSA Norte, Deviandes, Coviperu (Red Vial 6), Norvial (Red Vial 5), Aunor (Red Vial 4), Covinca (Quilca-Arequipa), and other concessionaires

Do I Need to Pay Tolls in Peru? 2026 Update

Yes, tolls are mandatory on Peru's major concession highways and Lima urban expressways. Peru operates one of South America's most extensive concession road networks, with Ositran supervising 17 highway contracts plus the Anillo Vial Periferico in Lima.

Key Reality: Toll roads in Peru are the main high-quality intercity routes - the IIRSA corridors (North, Central, South), the Autopista del Sol on the northern coast, the Red Vial 4/5/6 corridors north and south of Lima, and Lima's urban expressways. Avoiding them means using slower, lower-quality secondary roads. Payment methods are not uniform - most corridors accept cash, card, and electronic tags, but a few (such as the Quilca-Arequipa corridor operated by Covinca) are cash-only with no electronic option at all.

2026 Update: Toll rates across most concession highways decreased approximately 3% from January 10, 2026. Rates now include 18% IGV.

Peru Toll Costs: Current Rates 2026

Peru's toll system is managed by 18 concessionaires. Rates are set per toll plaza, not per kilometre. Heavy vehicles pay per axle on most concession highways. All figures below are effective from January-February 2026 and include 18% IGV, except where a fixed multi-year rate applies.

Current Toll Rates by Concession (2026)

Highway / Concession Light Vehicles Heavy Vehicles 2026 Notes
Lima Expresa - Via de Evitamiento & Linea Amarilla S/ 6.30 S/ 6.30 per axle Down from S/ 6.60 (Feb 3, 2026)
IIRSA Norte - Paita to Yurimaguas (9 plazas) S/ 8.70 S/ 8.70 per axle Down from S/ 9.10 (Jan 10, 2026)

IIRSA Sur Tramo 3 & 4 - Interoceanica Sur (Intersur, Azangaro-Inambari) Variable per plaza Variable by axle count ~3% decrease from Jan 10, 2026
Panamericana Sur - Lima Metro section (formerly Rutas de Lima) No toll (MML direct management) No toll MML suspended collection for Plan Verano 2026
Mocupe-Cayalti-Oyotun; Buenos Aires-Canchaque (smaller regional concessions) Rate not independently confirmed in this review Variable Real, Ositran-supervised concessions confirmed via an official Ositran document; check concesioncanchaque.pe and ositran.gob.pe directly for current tariffs

Note on remaining concessions: Ositran supervises 17 highway concessions in total. Not all apply the January 10 adjustment simultaneously - each contract has its own annual adjustment date, and at least one (Red Vial 6) runs on a fixed multi-year rate outside that cycle entirely. Verify the current tariff at the specific concession's official website or on the Ositran portal before travel.

How to Pay Peru Tolls

You can use the following toll payment methods on Peru's concession roads - but availability varies by corridor, so do not assume every method works everywhere.

1. Electronic Toll Tags (Preferred where available):

  • e-Pass: RFID transponder accepted on Lima Expresa, IIRSA Norte, Red Vial 6, and most major concession highways. Enables use of dedicated electronic lanes with faster processing.
  • EasyWay: Alternative electronic tag accepted on Lima expressways, Red Vial 6, and select concession roads. Popular with fleet operators.
  • Both systems require a prepaid account; funds deducted automatically at each plaza.
  • Exception: the Quilca-Arequipa corridor (Covinca) is cash-only - no e-Pass or EasyWay accepted at all, confirmed directly via the operator's own site.

2. Cash Payment:

  • Accepted at all toll plazas on IIRSA and intercity concession highways.
  • Change provided; exact fare not required.
  • Manual lanes are slower - expect queues at peak travel times (Friday afternoons, holiday weekends).
  • Some corridors (e.g. Covinca's Quilca-Arequipa route) accept ONLY cash - no alternative payment method exists there at all.

3. Debit and Credit Cards:

  • Accepted at Lima Expresa plazas (Via de Evitamiento, Linea Amarilla), Red Vial 6, and at modernised plazas on some other concessions.
  • Availability on intercity IIRSA routes varies by plaza - carry cash as backup.

4. Free-Flow / Online Payment (Lima Expresa):

  • Some Lima Expresa sections use camera-based free-flow detection. Vehicles without e-Pass or EasyWay have 72 hours to pay online at the Lima Expresa portal.
  • Unpaid free-flow tolls become violations subject to fines.

Recent Changes (2026)

January-February 2026 Annual Tariff Adjustments:

  • Rates on most concession highways reduced approximately 3% from January 10, 2026 - the first broad reduction in several years. The driver was a ~10% appreciation of the Sol against the US dollar during 2025, which more than offset inflation factors in the contractual formula.
  • Reductions range from S/ 0.20 to S/ 0.40 per plaza depending on the concession.
  • IIRSA Norte: S/ 8.70 (down from S/ 9.10) effective January 10, 2026.
  • IIRSA Centro Tramo 2 (Carretera Central): S/ 8.00 (down from S/ 8.30) effective January 10, 2026.
  • IIRSA Sur Tramo 3 and 4, Autopista del Sol, and Quilca-La Concordia (Covinca) also adjusted downward from January 10, 2026.
  • Lima Expresa (Via de Evitamiento + Linea Amarilla): S/ 6.30 (down from S/ 6.60) effective February 3, 2026. This is the first reduction since 2023 and returns the tariff to its 2022 level.
  • Red Vial 6 (Coviperu) does NOT follow this cycle - its S/ 9.70 rate is fixed under a separate 2-year schedule running February 20, 2025 to February 20, 2027.
  • Not all 17 concessions adjust simultaneously - remaining contracts will update on their own contractual dates throughout 2026.

Panamericana Sur - Lima Metro Section:

  • The Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima (MML) assumed direct administration of approximately 58 km of the Panamericana Sur following the departure of Rutas de Lima. Toll collection has been suspended on this stretch for 2026, benefiting beach traffic during summer months (Plan Verano 2026).
  • Reversible lanes between Puente Arica and Atocongo operate Sundays 4-8 PM (southbound converted to northbound, up to 5 lanes).

Anillo Vial Periferico:

  • Ositran now supervises this Lima ring road concession in addition to 17 highway concessions - 18 concessionaires total presented 2026 Business Plans with combined investments exceeding US$ 400 million.

Enforcement Update:

  • Evading a toll is now classified as a very serious traffic infraction under current regulations. Penalties include fines of 12% of the UIT (equivalent to S/ 660 in 2026), preventive vehicle impoundment, and driver's licence retention.

Lima Expressway Toll Information

Lima's urban expressway network is the most intensively used toll corridor in Peru. Eight toll plazas currently operate within Lima Metropolitana, all managed by Lima Expresa.

Lima Expresa Network (Via de Evitamiento + Linea Amarilla):

  • Operated by Lima Expresa (VINCI Highways). Concession signed 2009 with Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima.
  • Approximately 63.7 km/carril of managed expressway including the 1.8 km tunnel under the Rimac river, 12 viaducts, and modernised toll plazas at Monterrico, Huanuco, and Priale.
  • Current tariff (from Feb 3, 2026): S/ 6.30 for light vehicles; S/ 6.30 per axle for heavy vehicles. Includes 18% IGV (of which 7% goes to the MML).
  • AI-assisted incident detection, 24-hour roadside assistance, and speed monitoring are included services financed by the toll.
  • Lima Expresa reports a 78% reduction in serious road incidents in 2025 versus 2016 baseline.

Planning Your Journey

Typical Journey Costs (2026):

  • Lima city expressway trip (Via de Evitamiento or Linea Amarilla): S/ 6.30 per plaza
  • Lima to Huancayo (IIRSA Centro via Carretera Central): 3 plazas x S/ 8.00 = approximately S/ 24.00 for light vehicles
  • Lima to Trujillo (Panamericana Norte + Red Vial 4): multiple plazas, expect S/ 30-50 total for light vehicles
  • Lima south along Panamericana Sur through Red Vial 6 (Puente Pucusana to Ica): S/ 9.70 one-way per toll station, S/ 19.40 combined for the "double charge" round trip mechanism
  • Cusco to Puerto Maldonado (IIRSA Sur Tramo 2-4): multiple plazas, expect S/ 50-80 total for light vehicles

Practical Tips:

  • Carry small Sol notes for cash plazas on intercity routes - change is given but queues build up faster at manual lanes. On the Quilca-Arequipa (Covinca) corridor specifically, cash is the ONLY option - plan accordingly.
  • e-Pass and EasyWay tags save time at Lima expressway plazas and on Red Vial 6. Open accounts through each provider's website before travel.
  • Toll rates are updated annually (typically January 10) based on contractual formulas - but not every concession follows this schedule; Red Vial 6 is locked on a separate 2-year cycle.
  • Emergency vehicles (ambulances, fire brigade, PNP, military, Red Cross, Instituto Nacional Penitenciario on duty) are exempt from all tolls - show credentials at the booth.
  • On Lima's Panamericana Sur (MML-managed section), no toll is currently charged during 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I avoid toll roads in Peru?

Technically yes, but Peru's toll highways are generally the only paved, well-maintained intercity routes. Secondary roads (carreteras afirmadas) are unpaved or in poor condition in many regions. Within Lima, surface streets are congested alternatives to the Via de Evitamiento and Linea Amarilla - expect 20-32 minutes extra travel time per trip.

Why did toll rates go down in 2026?

Peru's concession contracts use a formula that includes Peru's CPI, the US CPI, and the USD/PEN exchange rate. Although both inflation indices rose during 2025, the Sol appreciated by approximately 10% against the dollar, producing a net reduction. The average decrease is about 3%, or S/ 0.20-0.40 per plaza. Not every concession uses this exact formula, however - Red Vial 6 runs on a separate, fixed 2-year rate schedule unaffected by this cycle.

What is e-Pass and do I need it?

e-Pass is Peru's primary RFID toll tag. EasyWay is an alternative accepted on the same routes as e-Pass.

What happens if I evade a toll in Peru?

Toll evasion is classified as a very serious traffic infraction. Penalties include fines of 12% of the UIT (S/ 660 in 2026), preventive vehicle impoundment, and driver's licence retention. Using unauthorised routes to bypass a toll booth carries the same sanctions.

Are there tolls on the Panamericana Sur near Lima in 2026?

No - on the approximately 58 km stretch previously operated by Rutas de Lima (now under direct MML management), toll collection is suspended in 2026. The MML implemented this as part of Plan Verano 2026 to improve summer beach traffic flow. The status beyond 2026 is subject to MML review.

Do tourists pay the same toll rates as residents?

Yes, there is no separate tourist rate. All rates include 18% IGV. There are no discount programmes for non-residents; discounts (Tarifa Diferenciada) are only available to specific categories approved by the MTC.

Which body regulates Peru toll roads?

Ositran (Organismo Supervisor de la Inversion en Infraestructura de Transporte de Uso Publico) supervises all 17 highway concessions plus the Anillo Vial Periferico, as well as ports, airports, and railways. The MTC (Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones) signs and oversees the underlying concession contracts.

What is the "double charge in one direction" system on Red Vial 6?

Confirmed directly by Coviperu, the operator of Red Vial 6 (Puente Pucusana to Ica): rather than charging you separately at each of several toll stations along the route, some stations collect a combined round-trip-equivalent amount (S/ 19.40) in a single charge for one direction of travel. The standard one-way light vehicle rate is S/ 9.70, pegged to a US$1.50 base value.
