It provides a direct route for commuters and travelers between downtown Richmond, and the southern suburbs The Parkway is operated by the Richmond Metropolitan Authority (RMA). 2-axle vehicles pay $0.75 on the mainline plaza, $0.25 on the mainline plaza east and west ramps, $0.25 on the Route 60 ramp, and $0.50 on the Courthouse Road ramp.

How to Pay Virginia Tolls

1. Standard E-ZPass:

  • Pays tolls on all Virginia facilities and 19+ E-ZPass partner states, including RMTA, Pocahontas Parkway, Chesapeake Expressway, and Dominion Boulevard
  • Free transponder from VDOT; $35 E-ZPass On-the-Go available at 500+ retailers (full $35 credited to account)
  • Required for Express Lane access; also works on Dulles Toll Road, CBBT, tunnels, and HRBT

2. E-ZPass Flex (for HOV-free Express Lane travel):
